Henry Tyler, LPCC
Licensed Therapist in Glendale
Are you looking for a therapist that feels relatable and like a real person? If you’re anything like I was when I first saw a therapist as a young adult, you crave that authenticity from your counselor. I promise to never ask you “and how does that make you feel?” with a straight face. Don’t get me wrong, I *will* ask about your feelings, but I’m not into going through the motions and acting a role. Do you want to spend the time and effort it takes to get down past surface symptoms to the real deep work, to be able to live more comfortably in your own skin, to be able to feel your emotions, not just think them? If so, contact me.
I’ve spent the last 10 years working with & relating to young adults (18-35) and helping them through problems from substance use to depression and anxiety. I’m trained in EMDR and other trauma approaches, and ran a couple residential & outpatient substance & mental health facilities. I’ve also spent over a year of my life outside doing wilderness & adventure therapy.
I’m text-friendly, so if you don’t want the stress of a call, text away. I tend to dedicate a lot of time & attention to my clients, and I do a lot of work to prepare to help you work through your issues and explore yourself. Most of all, I’ve had my own share of pain and shame- I’m not going to judge yours. So let’s get to it.
